A PLACE TO DISCOVER

Channing Daughters pairs its Bridgehampton vineyards with a sculpture garden featuring Walter Channing’s inverted trees. Ask directly about garden access or tours.
THE STORY BEHIND THE PLACE
History & heritage
Walter Channing planted Chardonnay here in 1982. Named for his four daughters, the family-owned winery developed alongside his sculpture practice; his inverted tree became the winery’s emblem.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The vineyard experience
The Bridgehampton grounds combine vineyard rows, a tasting-room lawn and an extensive sculpture garden. Art and agriculture are central to the property’s identity. Check arrangements directly for garden access and special events rather than assuming every outdoor area is open during a standard visit.
THE WINES
A sense of their style
The winery works with more than two dozen grape varieties and makes a notably broad range of small-batch wines. Whites and reds sit alongside skin-contact orange wines, rosés, pét-nat sparkling wines and botanical vermouth. Listed grapes include Tocai Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Blaufränkisch and Chardonnay.
Styles describe the producer’s range, not a live tasting menu or inventory. Offerings change by vintage and season.
