THE STORY BEHIND THE PLACE
History & heritage
Osprey’s Dominion planted its first 24 acres in Peconic in 1983, followed by another parcel in Mattituck. In the early 1990s it acquired the Main Road land and buildings where the winery now operates. The estate describes a combined 90-acre vineyard footprint.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The vineyard experience
The Peconic property includes a winery building, broad outdoor grounds and spaces for arranged groups. Its official site describes seasonal outdoor reserved areas as well as indoor arrangements in colder months. Confirm the event calendar and group plans directly rather than assuming every space is available without notice.
THE WINES
A sense of their style
The portfolio includes Carménère, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and rosé. The winery emphasizes responding to each growing season and producing reserve wines only when conditions support that selection.
Styles describe the producer’s range, not a live tasting menu or inventory. Offerings change by vintage and season.
